As an All-American soccer player and scholar athlete, Jay attended the University of Connecticut at Storrs. After graduating from the Honor’s Program as a Golden Key National Scholar, Jay spent the next five years in the Criminal Justice Field as a Probation Officer for the State of Connecticut.

Jay joined longtime friend Herman Gibson as a mortgage originator at Hamilton Mortgage Company in Ridgefield. Under his guidance, Jay enjoyed immediate success and became one of the nation’s top young originators as honored by Mortgage Originator Magazine. Jay followed Herman and together they operate Pegasus Investment Group in Watertown where they continue to provide creative financing and “mortgage solutions that work.”

Jay is an active member of Main Street Waterbury’s Economic Restructuring Committee, a league member with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, and a member and a resident of Waterbury’s Hillside Historic District.
